NexFx is under the direction of Jonah Levy, an Emmy-nominated special effects makeup artist, Founder & Co-Owner of Blue Whale Studios, who has amassed over 30 years of experience in the industry. His expertise in both Film/TV and theme park/ live event productions situates him to uniquely comprehend the principles of camera-ready, custom-sculpted prosthetics for A-list actors and to apply that same level of detail and care into high-quality multifunctional generic prosthetics. This collection of archetypal character and creature makeups is intended to function on any number of faces and reflects the magic that kindled Jonah's love and passion for makeup as a child. After years of developing a vision, designs, and unyielding planning, NexFx has finally come to fruition! The NexFx team has put in a tremendous amount of effort to bring this vision to life. Nabil Ismail, a business leader in the media industry in Atlanta and Co-Owner of Blue Whale Studios, took charge of making this vision a reality. Ernesto Cornejo, a veteran sculptor widely respected throughout the industry, was the lead sculptor and co-designer of the project. His passion and dedication was the breath of life in bringing our collection of characters from concept to clay. Our Shop Foreman, Anthony Canonica, oversaw all of the intricate, precision mold-making as well as formulated and fabricated all of our silicone blends with digital assistance from our Lead Digital Designer, Eric Jarman. And of course, we could not have done any of this without the support of our amazing makeup team: Tess Fondie, Logan Tobia, Skylar Oppel and Heather Grippaldi, as well as our project management and administration team: Emily Silber, Lydia Bohanan, and Samir Spraggins.
